Hello, my name is Heeqmat, I’m from Nigeria and I’m currently located in Abuja, Nigeria. I’m an English tutor with a TEFL certification and over four years of experience helping students improve their English skills. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, learning about different cultures, and having meaningful conversations. Outside teaching, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and learning new skills. I’m a friendly, patient, and approachable person who believes that learning a language should be an enjoyable experience. I love helping people express themselves confidently and discover how English can open doors to new opportunities. I have over four years of experience teaching English, including working as an ESL and Academic English Instructor at International House and as an online English tutor at JustSchool. I have taught primary and secondary school students, conducted one-to-one and small group lessons, and helped learners prepare for Cambridge English exams, including PET and FCE. My teaching approach combines communicative activities, practical grammar exercises, vocabulary development, and real-life conversations. I also use digital tools such as Quizlet, Miro, and interactive whiteboards to make lessons engaging and effective. I pay attention to each student's progress and adapt my lessons to their learning needs, helping them build confidence and develop practical communication skills. Learning English doesn't have to feel difficult or intimidating. My goal is to help you feel comfortable speaking English, expressing your ideas, and making progress at your own pace.
