How do I keep students long-term?

1. 1In the first lesson, agree on a goal and a timeframe: "In 2 months — talk about yourself fluently".
2. 2Offer a regular time, for example Tuesday and Thursday at 6 pm.
3. 3Give short homework after every lesson.
4. 4Once a month, show progress: what the student can do now compared with the first lesson.
5. 5Ask for feedback and adapt lessons to the student.
