How students search
- By subject and focus area: for example “English” → “Conversation” or an exam.
- By lesson price, the tutor's country and free time.
- By whether there's a free trial lesson.
That's why accurate subjects, focus areas and convenient hours matter — otherwise your profile won't show up in a student's search.
What your place depends on
By default the catalog shows profiles “Recommended”. Higher up are tutors who:
- don't cancel lessons at the last minute;
- have a higher rating from students;
- have added an intro video.
Important
Frequent last-minute cancellations (3 within 30 days) move your profile lower until the count goes down.
When your profile isn't in the catalog
- It's still under review or was sent back for changes.
- There isn't a single free hour in your schedule.
- You've paused your profile.

See your profile as a student does: “Profile” → “⋯” → “View profile”.
